View access pools

Access controls can be set on specific volumes within a storage system. Access pools are the pools that contain these specific volumes.

Prerequisites

See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.

A read-only user can view access pools, but you must use a PIN to edit properties.

Steps

  1. Select the storage system (does not apply to storage systems running PowerMaxOS 10 (6079)).
  2. Click Settings icon.
  3. In the Settings dialog, click System Access Control > Access Pools.
  4. To enable active management, enter your Access Control PIN: View access controls
  5. Use the Access Pools list view to display and manage access pools on the storage system. Select a storage system ID from the drop-down list.
    The following properties display:
    Access-Controlled Volume Pool Name of the pool.
    Number of Volumes Number of volumes in the pool.
    Number of Access Control Entries Number of access control entries.
